Logging in as "administrator" in winXP home

Hello all,
I was helping my Uncle with his home network and he has 2 pc's with
winXP home edition. Initially, he and his family was not logging in to use
the PC so I created user accounts for everyone. When I attempted to log
into the "administrator" account it told me that I did not have appropriate
permission to log in. How does it know who is logging in to the
administrator account when there is no password. I am not sure what that
error meant. Does anyone have any ideas or come across that situation
themselves?

Thanks for the help

Greetings --

Of course you can. You just have to know how. By design, the
only way to log into the Administrator account of WinXP Home is to
reboot into Safe Mode.

Thanks for the info. I never would have thought about booting into safe
mode.
