error message when try to log with the administrator account in XP Home

I am receiving an error message saying that the Account
is restricted when try to log with the administrator
account built in in WinXP home edition.
I own a new Hp Pavilion notebook having XP home edition.
I changed the way XP Log in, in order to log as the
administrator user and then set a password to it. I did
this before in WinXP Professional at Work. But in this
time my new notebook gives me the error message mentioned
above. The administrator account I am sure not have a
password, but I don't know if I have to set something to
make it work.
I called HP Tech Support and they tell me that the vesion
of OEM XP home does not support to loggin as
Administrator, but I can not believe it.
Please help me!
 
It does support it, but in XP Home, you can only log into the built in Administrator account via Safe Mode. Press F8 between the BIOS POST screen and XP actually starting to load.
