LOG OUT PROBLEMS

every time i try to log out of windows xp, nothing
happens for a while and then and windows comes up saying
end program- setupdll32.exe please wait. Then i wait and
it says the program is not responding so you can click
end task that log out or cancel. How can i stop this from
happening?
