i do not want the log in screen to show when i start the
computer. i have disabled the guest account and tried
tweakui however tweakui forgets the auto login setting
second time i reboot the computer.

If I understand the query properly, you want to skip the Welcome screen.
Rather than copy and paste from the on-line help file, try this: Do Start >
Help and Support and search on the word login. Choose the article titled
"Turn the Welcome Screen on or off" and follow the steps in it.
You have a very well-written product manual right on your computer (the
Help and Support application) and it is free and available at the touch of
the F1 key, or by doing Start > Help and Support.

Click Start, Run and type "control userpasswords2", and click Ok.
Uncheck "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer"
option, and click Ok.
