Log on says unread email

My computer has 2 users and when the log on screen appears, it says '1
unread email message' under my wifes name.
When she checks her email, there are no unread emails. But the message will
not go away.
Any ideas please?

The easiest way to remove the "Unread Mail" message is with the TweakUI
Power Toy (free). Get it here:
