Hello there,

I have a really simple network (2 PC's and an ethernet
cable on Win2K) and we can network just fine. However,
when either machine first tries to access the other, it is
asked for a username and password. Is there any way to
get rid of this? (I don't have to enter a username or pass
when I first log on to windows, just when connecting to
the other machine on the network).

Thanks,

Make sure all computers are in the same workgroup and that all useraccounts
exist on all computers. Got File- and printersharing loaded?

Marina

Once you have created an account for each person ON EACH MACHINE, log ON as
each user on each machine. This will create the necessary PROFILE to auto
logon each time the machines boot up.
