Log in then log off again

Hello, I am currently having login problems with windows xp professional.
Whenever I log in to Windows, I immediatly get logged off. I have learnt
that AdAware had caused this problem because it does not fix a registry key
properly.
After following instructions on various websites to rename the winlogin key
from wsaupdater.exe to userinit.exe, I still have the same problem.
I have also replaced userinit.exe from the windows cd.

Hope someone can help. I am using service pack 2.

i am having the exact same problem. have you figured out how to solve the
problem? i would greatly appreciate your help
