Log In Log Out

I have upgraded from ME to XP Pro and several desktop functions are acting strange. For instance, I cannot switch users through the desktop, I have to use ctl+alt+del to switch users and to log off. The win button+L will work but not the desktop. I cannot open a tif file even though I have installed the fax supporting software. I cannot get winzip to open at all. My CDRW will not write to existing discs, although this may be a problem with Adaptec. Any help will be appreciated.
 
Install SP1 and run Windows Update ASAP to fix the
problem!!!
