HOW DO YOU LOCK A FILE OR FOLDER ON WIN XP OR ME. OR MY
COMPUTER.

Hi Eric,

there is no good way to do this on Windows ME but it is possible on
WindowsXP. You should format your HDD as NTFS (not FAT). Then you have an
option to e.g. right click the folder you would like to protect and under
Security tab you will have an option to select who has rights to access your
files ...

Our software Folder Guard can do that, on both NTFS and FAT/FAT32 disks:

However, don't use it to lock the whole My Computer, lock only the files
or folders you actually want to be locked.
