Locked Out of "My Documents" Folder from Desktop

I cannot access my documents folder from the desktop. I can however access
from my start menu. When I try to access it, it says "Your security setting
do not allow this action."

ANy Ideas?

Right click on the folder, select Properties, then the Security tab. Ensure
that your username is listed in the Access Control List and that the proper
security settings are in place. If you are unable to modify the ACL, then
you may need to take ownership of the folder.
