Location of Outlook-Related Files

Due to a problem booting up my home PC, I've been
instructed by Dell Technical Support that I will have to
reformat my hard drive. Dell advised me that I could back
up key files on my hard drive by removing the drive and
connecting it to a second PC that we have in our home. My
question is as follows: I know how to locate Word, Excel
and other Office-related files that would need to be back
up. However, what I need help with is how to locate
Outlook-related files that contain information such as e-
mails, appointments (i.e. calendar events), and contacts.

Thank you,
Bernie Blais

Search for pst-files. One pst-file can contain all data.

Make sure you include hidden and system files and folders when searching for
pst-file.

By default it is located in
C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook\

You can also locate the file by using
Rightclick the root folder (probably Outlook Today)-> Properties-> button
Advanced-> field Filename
