Location Information Dialog

I give up. All of a sudden when I enter a new contact and after
I enter the phone number xp pops up a window called 'Location Information'
When I click cancel it asks me if I really want to cancel and I click Yes
and the darn window remains open and won't close.
It didn't occur a couple of days ago when I entered a new contact.
I made no settings changes or anything of the sort..

Unlikely. I do not believe in "all of a sudden" as a cause for behavior
changes.
Is the dialing location set correctly for your operating system?

First, where do I go in xp to find the dialing settings? Second,
why would I need to set dialing location settings? Third, this
is the very first time I have ever seen this dialog box.

Because Outlook uses your dialing location to configure your phone number
format. If you haven't set it correctly, it will ask you for that
information.
Last I looked, you set that in Control Panel > Phone and Modem settings.

Ah, I see. I typed in my area code and it doesn't pop up any more.
Just a bit curious more than anything.

Thanks,
James
