Localized versions

.... is it necessary to uninstall the former english version oder are the
localized version possible to install over the former english?

I don't know this answer, I'm afraid. Anyone else who has tried the
localized versions know?

(My mother's parents spoke German at home, but she lost it as she grew
older--and I never learned any!)
