What do I do with XP Professional Error Message : Can not load local user profile? Can I recover my profile which IS housed on the laptop harddrive. Please help

Simply insert the Windows XP Pro Upgrade CD and follow the prompts for
an upgrade.
Data should be safe but back-up important data just in case.
