Local Password Policy verus domain level policy

On my company supplied laptop. Domain level security policys are set that
override local policy settings. I want to reduce the complexity of the
password to my machine for when I am not connected to the company network.
However a domain-level policy is making this impossible. Is there any why to
work around domain-level security for when I am logged into the local
machine domain?

No.

If you remove your laptop from the domain and put it in a workgroup then the
domain policies won't be in effect - but this would break your domain
connection. Not suggested.
