password local policy in domain

Riccardo

I have computers in MS domain and I defined password policies in
Active Directory (Windows 2000 servers).
On every computer it's used both a domain user and a local user, so
I'm interesting to change "password policy" in LOCAL "account
policy". Now I'm not able to change local password policies beacuse
there are grey and it cannot be selected.
I understand domain policies overwrite local policies but it works
also for local users on client ?
Is there way to change local policy on client ?

Hello Riccardo,

As long as the machine is domain member the Domain password policy is used.
If you have a domain, do not use local accounts. Disable them, there is no
need for them.

it's no possible because this local account is used for folder sharing
so remote machine (which will access to this one) use this local user.
I want password never expires but I my domain policy says password
expires avery 42 days.
