Local network does not show

Have Vista Professional (64). The network can see me, but cannot see the
others. All I can see is myself. Have diagnosed OK. Ping works OK. Run out
of ideas. What could I do more?

Open Network and Sharing Center.Ensure that your network is set to Private
network and Network Discovery is set to On.

Both criteras OK. Just noticed that I CANNOT ping to this PC?

Have you tried turning off the firewall to ensure that it's not caused by
the firewall?

Also ensure that File and Printer sharing is selected under the Exception in
Windows firewall.

If you cannot ping, enable Echo Reply under ICMP settings in Windows
Firewall.
