Local Disk Management

While attempting to do a partition format on a second
disk drive I'm installing, I received a message "local
disk management not registered"
What do I need to get this corrected?

Does the disk status in disk mangement show as online ?
Is the disk new, or has it come from another system and already contains
file systems, if so do you know if it was previously set up as a dynamic
disk ?

Hey Michael,

Another thought, if you right click on the left hand box where the status
and type of disk is shown , e.g. Bsic/Online
Do you get an INITIALIZE option on the context menu ?
