Since I ran (and then uninstalled) Norton System Works I can no longer acess
my "F" drive (local disc 2). How do I get it back?? .... please!!!!

admin tools > comp mgmt > disk mgmt > right click on the f > explore.....

Thanks databaseben,
Have tried this, does not help. Disc shows there and says it is active and
healthy, but right click brings up nothing other than "delete partition".
System says disc is working correctly and enabled, but still does not show in
My Computer. Other suggestions???

yeh, i got the same problem a while back. But my crashed partition had lots
of personal documents and i refused to delete it as opted by windows. I
don't know of a way to fix the problem, via windows commands. So I bought
Acronis Disk Director and it had a "Recover Partition Feature" - And it
worked! I wasn't happy to spend any money, but I concluded that the
software was a good investment since I was able to load it on 2 computers and
it has disk and partition utilites that work inside a windows enviroment.

Maybe, using Diskpart could help. But do not know how successful you will
be. Go to run and open cmd Then type Diskpart and enter. Then type help
or diskpart/? to get a listing. One command called "rescan" does something
when run. But I do not know if the results are used by windows or
something.....

If these suggestions do not help, maybe you can find a freeware by searching
"recovering a partition". If I find something, i'll will post herein....
