Local Area Network

My computer was trashed thanks to some comuter viruses and
I am attempting to reinstall Win2000 but am having a
problem where it doesn't recognize my Fast Ethernet
Adapter and doesn't create the local area network. Can I
create the local area network manually?

Have you checked the Device manager to see if the network card is installed
properly?

Right click My Computer > Hardware (tab) > Devices and expand your ethernet
device.
