On the local machine, the rights would be determined by local group
membership. If they're both a member of the same group, they would both
have the same rights.
Good question, one that I would like answered as well. Through various
software installs I have noticed that there is might be a slight a difference
because sometimes entries into the registry don't seem to match up when
comparing them with Registry Tool. But that might have something to do with
the image I am using or might not.
Beyond that some software, usually from smaller contractors or legacy
programs require a local administrator with 8.3 naming conventions to instll
properly. Not exactly related to the question but usefull knowledge none the
less.
