loading xp

I am trying to upgrade from XP home to XP professional on
my laptop. It goes though the process, restarts the
computer then start the load process over again and again.
It never actually installs the program.

Have been on hold with microsoft for an hour.

Dell P4 Inspiron 8200 w/256 Ram
 
you need to set your BIOS to boot from the hard drive first and not the CD
Rom drive.
