Loading XP

My laptop worked fine last night. Tonight when I turned it on, it went
through the boot-up process, Windows XP (home edition) starts, and I see a
screen that says "Setup is being restarted". The screen goes black for
approximately 30 seconds and the computer reboots and starts over.
How do I get out of the loop and how do I get back on track???
Thanks for your help.

I had this problem recently with one of my users. It turned out to be a
failing hard drive. Try booting from the Windows XP disc, at the first input
screen press 'r' to go into repair mode. Then try running chkdsk c: /r to
fix any errors on the disc.
