The other day I attempted to do a clean install over Windows ME. I put the
Windows 2000 disk in the drive and chose the clean install option. Windows
2000 works great, but when I boot up, I get a menu asking which operating
system I want. The default is Windows 2000, but I want to get rid of the
other option.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
John

Use Notepad and open a file called C:\boot.ini. Edit out the path to the
Windows ME installation and save the file. By default Windows 2000 is
installed in C:\WINNT, so you can delete the C:\Windows directory.

Thanks. That sounds like an easy fix.

Boot with win2k. Go to My computer's properties, and
select advanced. There select "start up and recovery"
Select default operating system, time it out to 0000
seconds.
