Loading saved Quake 2 game in XP

Hi,

Whenever I try to load a saved Q2 game the console comes
up and says it's unable to load the game because of a game
error; pointers have moved.
I've loaded the latest version of Q2 (3.20) and I am able
to play the game fine. After I save it, I try to load it,
I get the error message.
Running P4 2.53G, 1G RAM, nVidia 5900Ultra, XP Home. I
have updated all drivers and patches.

Anybody have this problem or know how to fix it? Thanks.

Was the saved games created with the same version of Q2(3.20). A lot of
game patches (any game) can have problems with the older saved games. It
seems that the game publishers do not take that into account and expect the
game users to "throw out" their favourite saved games and start the game all
over.

BTW: We answer your questions in the newsgroups. Other people may want to
comment on your questions. Emailing the possible solutions to you defeats
the purpose of the newsgroups.
