loading personal setting

removed a wireless pci network card; now when logging in windows the sceen
seem to set at loading personal settings. Is XP profile looking for network
connection?
 
Hi,

If you reinsert the wireless card, does the behavior change? If so, the
supporting drivers may have a service or program loading that is looking for
the card and causing the pause.

hi, and thanks for your response. no the behavior doesn't change. had to start in safe mode and remove the wireless card again. unable to sign in except in safe mode now. any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated
