Help!!
Here's the problem. Windows XP, home edition, running on
Dell PC.
Had Sasser worm, but user accessed boot from last known
good configuration 3 times prior to figuring out it was
Sasser.
Now all user account profiles are loading under a temp
directory called temp charlie.001. The path to my
documents now looks like:
C:\temp charlie.001\documents and settings\user account
name\my documents
instead of:
C:\documents and settings\user account name\my documents
Obviously now all old docs, pictures, web favs, etc. are
not under the new version of the account.
When you try to delete the temp charlie.001 directory, XP
says No can do it is a system folder.
What can be done to re-associate the original user
profiles with the user account names and rid the OS of
this temp charlie.001 directory??
Thx,
Blaze
