.lnk file extensions

I received a file containing pictures with an .lnk file
extension. I cannot open it; how do I open it???
 
you dont. thats just a shortcut to a picture on the other person's
computer. get them to send you the .jpeg/.gif/.bmp again.

It looks like someone sent you shortcuts from their computer to their
pictures which are located elsewhere on the computer. Email them back and
have them make sure when they attach the pictures that they aren't 1kb
links.
