Live Mail wont start

Hi,
I'm running XP Home SP3 and am now using Live Mail and I find that if I use
Live Mail and then shut it down it will not restart and I have to open Task
Manager where the process wlmail.exe will be running if I terminate it then
Live Mail will open normally from the start menu. this seems to mean Live
Mail is not shutting down correctly can I fix this without
uninstall/reinstall.

When I close Windows Live Mail (WLM), it will not reload. I have to
open Task Manager to terminate the wlmail.exe process so I can reload
WLM. It seems that WLM is not exiting. Can I fix this without an
uninstall and reinstall of WLM?

Minimizing it to a system tray icon is NOT exiting the application. You
don't mention just HOW you are closing WLM, like if you are using the
File -> Exit/Close menu or if you are just clicking the "X" titlebar
button. You also don't mention if you have the option enabled (if it
exists in that e-mail client) to minimize it to a tray icon on close.
Closing an application's window (using the "X" titlebar button) does not
necessarily exit the application.

yeah, it’s a bug I've noticed
in both xp and vista.

the best thing to do is to
minimize the program,

instead of exiting/closing
it.

with the icon in the task
bar,

you can click on either the
icon or the short cut and
both will maximize live mail.
