List jumps to next page

I am working in Word 2003. I'm typing a list of names and addresses of
companies, with spaces between each company. For some strange reason, the
text I'm typing will suddenly jump to the next page, even though there is
still plenty of space on the page before. Can anyone help? I am not working
in columns (although I will turn the document into columns when I'm done.)

Check to see if you have the paragraph formatting of your individual
list items set to Keep Together or Keep with Next. (Right Click the
Paragraph and choose Paragraph... Then click the tab for Line and Page
Breaks. If you have those options turned on, then clear the checkmarks
to see whether that allows your list to stick to the page and not jump
as a whole to the next page.

You may need to clear the settings from all your list items.
