Jumping pointer^^^

I have Word 2007 SP1. When I am typing, suddenly my pointer jumps to another
part of the document and what I type is inserted at the new place, like if I
had put the pointer there manually. It is a random problem. It is very
annoying because I have to constantly check if what I type is entered at the
right place. Does anyone has an idea about my jumping pointer?

Are you by any chance using a laptop with a trackpad? If so, you probably
(accidently) touch the trackpad while typing. Sometimes applying pressure in
its neighbourhood is enough to activate it and make your mouse move. Try
setting its sensitivity lower.
