Cursor moving to mouse pointer

Hi while typing in Word my cursor (point of typing) keeps jumping to wherever
the mouse pointer is on the page. (Actually while typing this, I've
discovered it is not restricted to Word!) Please help, its driving me mad
while trying to type long reports!

If you are using a laptop you might try decreasing the sensitivity of the
touch pad and if that doesn't work use an external mouse and set it so when
the external mouse is connected the touch pad is disabled. I encountered the
same issues on my previous laptop and an external mouse is the only thing
that worked.
