LIP for Windows Vista Business

Guest

Hi everyone,

i run a Vista Business on my laptop, now i'd like to have it in english but
i know MUIs will be available on Ultimate and Enterprise versions only. I
would be happy with a LIP but i can't seem to find information where to find
it in english and how to use it whatsoever.

Can anyone help? I'm used to Windows in english, it would be nice to have it
back without having to buy an english version. I know LIPs translate about
80% of the interface but it's better than nothing.

One more question, how do i use it after i've installed it? Remember this is
a Vista Business.

Hello,

your Vista Business should be translated to English now. What is actually
happening?

Nothing at all. After asking for confirmation (btw in the confirmation
windows it says ".... for Vista Ultimate) the disk crawls for a while and
then nothing.

I didn't try to reboot 'couse i had no time at work, but tomorrow i'll let
you know if rebooting did the trick.

Anyway after the confirmation i didn't see anything, no change, nothing.

I'll try tomorrow, i just can tell you that i looked right there without
finding nothing. I looked there because in Vista Ultimate it's there so i
figured it could be there.

Please keep an eye on this post because tomorrow i'll let you know. Thank
you so far.

Sorry to bother again but it didn't work.

I was reading the help and it states that after you install the LIP you get
in the control panel the ability to change language, but i still miss that
part.

I'm starting to think that the file i've downloaded is actually a MUI for
Vista Ultimate and not a LIP that i can use with Vista Business.

Do you think you can help me with that?

Hello,

I'm very sorry that it doesn't work.
Have you found the option in Control Panel? Start -> Control Panel -> Clock,
Language, and Region -> Change display language -> tab "Keyboards and
Languages" ->
Choose a display language ->.

That's the big problem, i'm missing it. In that window i have the option to
change the language of the keyboard.

In my Windows Vista Ultimate i have at home, i have an option to change the
display language right below the keyboard language option. In Vista Business
i miss that, so i don't know how to change the display language.... any
idea?!?

I will try it myself and install Vista Business.
I'll let you know if it works or not.
I'm sorry I couldn't help you.

I'll keep an eye on this post looking forward to read again from you. I'll be
great if you'll find a way to make it work.

I appreciate what you're doing. Thanks.

I'm very sorry, but I couldn't find a way to install the language. I think
they're said to be LIPs on that site (which is misleading), but they're
MUIs, and so we're unable to install them on Vista Business.
It's really a pity. Have a nice day, nevertheless.
