Is anybody using this router, I'm tearing My hair out trying to figure it out.

My problem is a IP Network Camera, it is a sony snc-m3, I can view the
camera from the computer hooked to my router, but ever time I type in My
static IP Address from another loacation, thru the internet I get My router.

The camera will send Me e-mail when motion is detected on the camera, so
this tell Me that the mail port is open and the camera is working to some
point.

I'm wondering, if I can connect from the internet from another location by
typing in My Static IP Address and port number and I get My router and the
camera is sending Me e-mail then it must have something to do with enabling
the port number for the camera,PLEASE HEEEELLLPPPP
Thanks

Ron,

Try th DMZ feature of the router. Use the DMZ with the ip address for the
camera.

it should work

I use this syntax for a webcam where #'s = public IP address and 1024 is the
port forwarded in the router to the static local IP address set in the
camera. Note the Colon between the IP and port.

Try port forwarding. Find out what port the camera is using and then set
port forwarding from the router to the ip address that the camera is
connected to and to the port that the camera is using .

Thank You all for the help, it was port forwarding I had port forwarding set
in the router but I had to open ports in the Network Connections in Control
Panel.
Man is that a load off My pea brain.
Thanks
Ronnie
