Linksys WRT54G Networking Problem

I have two computers, both laptops. The first laptop is connected to the
Linksys router via wireless card. Internet connection works fine on it. I
have tried to connect the second computer to the router via ethernet cable
(it has no wireless card). It shows "acquiring address" for a very long
time, and then gives a message that shows "limited or no connectivity". I
only need this connection to access the internet on computer #2 (the
hard-wired laptop). I took computer #2 to work with me, and plugged into the
wireless router there via ethernet wire, and it connects right up
instantaneously with no problem. What can I do to get the connection at home
working?? I've tried everything I could think of on this. Thanks in advance
for your help.
