I am trying to manage another location with out buying an cisco router.
Can I use a linksys router to see the other location? They are using a
diffferent ISP. Do I use the rip option in linksys. I taught this would
be easy but its not. If any one can help please let me know.

You want to set up a VPN. Any router that allows VPN will work, including
LinkSys. It is easy, search google for vpn.

Once your vpn is configured you could use remote desktop or any other
remote control sofware. You could even use remote control software without
a vpn.

You have to explain what manage other location specifically means. What is
the nature of the location and what needs to be manage.
I do not think that buying a Linksys Router per-se has any thing to do with
managing other location.

I just need help in backing up and managing the computers, There is
only on computer in each loaction. I want them to see my server, Can
that happen. Please let me know.
