Linksys Router Problem: Can't connect to internet through router

I have a Linksys DSL Router. Within the last week I cannot connect to the
internet through the router. If I disconnect from router and plug directly
into the DSL modem it will connect. The problem is not limited to just one
computer. I have connect my laptop to the routher with the same results, and
can connect to internet when plugged into the router directly. How do I fix
tis problem, or is it a router defect?

Looks like either your router is not configured properly. Firstly check if
the uplink cable is connected correctly between the modem and the router. and
check if the IP settings are not conflicting and are correct. If all seems ok
and still cant connect try resetting the router. Most Linksys routers have
got a reset switch on the back. If that doesnot work check with the
manufacturer for a firmware upgrade and check with them to see if they have
come across a similar problem.
