Ok...I did a stupid thing - was looking for another isp and hubby said to
install the walmart cd we got...bad idea....they don't allow OE or any other
programs outside of their interface...ok, so I cancelled it ... (after
waiting an hour on the phone!) and luckily it looks like it got everything
it put on (I guess anyway) and it also returned all my desktop icons back to
their original icons (instead of the horrible red circle/star it put in
their places)...however, NOW my links don't work in OE OR in FP?? when I
publish and then click on the view your website, it goes nowhere does
nothing...can someone tell me how to reset this?

thanks!

I think you're going to need to spend another hour on the phone with the
"walmart cd" people again. Sounds like it did something.

It appears your links are pointing to programs incorrectly.
Try this:
1. Open My computer
2. Click and open My Documents
3. Click on Tools > Folder options...
4. Click on File Types tab.

Now go through the file extensions you know about and see
if they are pointing to the right programs, or to nothing.
If they are pointing to the wrong program, click on Edit
and Browse to the right program.

well, I looked ;-) ... but I don't have a clue - can you tell me which link
files I'm looking for?

thanks!

ahhhhhh no an option :-)

When you cancelled the program did you also uninstall it from Control Panel - Add remove Programs?
If so, try reinstalling FP or if necessary IE (see http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=318378)
