hotspots with "external" links don't work

Hi,

Something odd happened when some of my Frontpage students used hotspots in
images. When they linked a hotspot to a page or file within their web,
everything was OK. But when they linked to a page or file outside the web
(e.g. another website), they get an error message when clicking the hotspot,
as if the link they want doesn't exist.

Do they have a live internet connection at the time?

Yes!!! I checked that first ... It only happened to some of the students,
but they were all connected to the Internet.

That the page cannot be found ... the same error you get in a browser when a
page can't be reach, for instance when you are not connected to the
Internet. But they were connected!
