Hi
When I recieve a link attached to a outlook express e mail and click on it
to open my computer freezes up and a hand symbol appears on the screen and
nothing will work I have to shut the computer down with the start key ( the
only key that works) and after the shutdown and restart all the other
programs work fine as long as I stay away from links.
Can anyone help me thanks for your assistance.

1... First, try to clean up your caches, Internet files and delete cookies
by doing this:
Click Start >> Control Panel >> Double click Network and Internet
Connections >> Double click Internet Options.
On the IE properties windows you will see these Taps:
General | Security | Privacy | Content | Connections | Programs |
Advanced
Under General Tab clear your History, Internet Files and Cookies.
Then click on Advanced tab and scroll down to under the Browsing Option:
[&] Browsing
[ ] Enable Third-Party browser extensions (Req Rest) uncheck this box.
Then click on Programs Tab and click Manage Add-Ons and Disable all non
Verified Add-Ons (You should Renable them later one-by-one and see the
culprit and update it or remove it.

2... You need to be sure your system is clean from malwares and Viruses by
scanning for them.

Open a run command and type in:
regsvr32 urlmon.dll click [OK]
netsh winsock reset Click [OK]
Reboot your Computer and try the links.
Note the space between regsvr32_urlmon.dll and netsh_winsock_reset ( _ =
Space)

Do you have any third-party toolbar installed?.
