Many links I try to open in a new windows IE 6.0 opens then immediately closes down. Has anyone recently had this problem? It seems to have happened after the new updated patch. Also I use windows 98.

Hi,
Try disabling any pop-up blockers that you have running. Take a look at any
other security-type programs that might be causing this. Many programs have
a popup blocking feature.

If you're *sure* that another program isn't causing this, these links may
help.

Addition to my earlier message. This could be a malware problem. Work
through the solutions (CWShredder, Ad-aware, Spybot) at
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm Also note the security tips on that
page.
