IE 6.0

All of a sudden, when I am using IE 6.0, two things happen. Page opens in new
window. There is not previous or forward page capabability. Page opens in new
window. I know of nothing that I have changes, and this has never happened
before on this PC, and does not happen on others that I have.

Thank you.. However, that box was checked. FYI, this problem just started,
and I know of no new programs installed, or, any changes I have made to any
of the Internet setups. I am a very experienced user, but this baffles me.

Hi Larry :)

You don't mention the version of Windows you are using, which really is a
must when asking for help in the newsgroups.

Does this happen on all websites, or just certain ones? There are some
webpages that are designed to open in new windows, block or gray out Back
buttons and/or other tools, by the webmasters and there is nothing you can
do can prevent that.

Also, do you have your system set for AutoUpdates?

Do you have any 3rd party toolbars such as Google, Yahoo, MSN, or add or
popup blockers? If so, disable them.

Disable your firewall and/or AV and see if that helps.

Try clearing the Temporary Internet Cache -
Safely Delete the Temporary Internet Files
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/delcache.htm

Restore Missing Toolbars, Menu bar in Windows Explorer and Internet Explorer

Hope this helps.

JanI.
I am running XP Pro - Service Pack 2

Success. I tried everything you told me, but believe the "toolbarfix is what
corrected te problem.

I will selectively turn on some of the other toolbars and popup blockers and
see if I can determine which one is the culprit.

Thank you for th exceleent response.
