Linking to Visual Fox Pro

Hi. I am using Access 2002. Is there any way to link to a DBF file
generated in Vixual Fox Pro?

Thanks,
Mike.

Choose File / Get External Data / Link from the main menu. Change the Type
combo box to *.dbf.

Hi Mike,

You'll need to use ODBC for reliability but you'll need to find out a little
more about your data. If you've got "free" tables then set up your ODBC data
source to the directory where they are. If your tables belong to a "Database
Container" - a DBC file will be present, usually in the same directory as
the data - then link your ODBC data source to the DBC file.

Over the years, new features have been added to Fox data tables. The ODBC
driver is only compatible with features used in VFP6 and under, although
tables created with VFP7, 8, or 9 that don't use any of the new features
will still be compatible with ODBC.

Otherwise you'll need to use OLE DB.

Be sure to use the latest driver - it's downloadable from
http://msdn.microsoft.com/vfoxpro/downloads/updates and it's version
6.01.8629.01.
