The site must be hosted on a Windows IIS Web server and support ASP or ASP.net and Access or MS SQL
Server to use the FP database components.

Make sure you have a site open (File > open > site). Some (if not all)
features are disabled (greyed-out) if you don't have the site open.

Thomas, Using Frontpage 2003 I'm trying to setup a username and password
type authentication for a section on my website using a backend access
database that has all the records for validation. My problem is my hosting
provider does not support ASP pages. So is there anyother option for me?
Thanks, - Rob

You will have to work with whatever scripting language and database your host supports.

So is there a good reason not to switch to a host who does? There are plenty of
them in the ballpark of $10 to $15 per month.
