Linking Excel and Access and a few problems

R

Kind of a long one here...
I have created a database with 7 tables. Each table is
linked to a seperate excel file because the information
needs to be displayed in charts and graphs that only excel
offers. The program in Access complies the data entered by
employees and since the tables are linked, the data is
then put into Excel. However, the Excel files change
monthly because they are date sensitive. So I guess my
questions are as follows:
A. Is there an easy way to update the Access program when
the Excel files change at the end of the month?
B. Is there an easier way to do this all togethe, such as
entering the data in Access then exporting it to Excel?
C. Any other suggestions?

Thanks a bunch, any help is greatly appreciated.

indeed it would be preferred to enter the data in Access since here it will
be much easier to set default values and desired formats for entered data
you don't have to export anything at all since Excel can be linked to Access
(thus the other way around)
I don't understand why Access can't provide the charts or pivot tables you
can create in Excel
starting from Access '97 you can create all kinds of charts, only for the
editing you will need Excel
