Linkbar problems

S

Steve P.

I have been using Frontpage 2002 to publish my website for 5+ years now.
Recently, I have been trying to add some features to the site and have run
into some problems.

I have been running a separate section of the site using password access to
a main file (not indexed) and from there linking to other pages in the
section. I wanted to turn this section into a subweb, which I managed to do,
but the new link bar, which appears in a shared border, does not appear in my
published web. Everything looks fine in Frontpage and initially looked fine
after I published it; but now, when I access the subweb over the internet all
of the shared borders have been dropped.

Any suggestions here? I have had always had trouble using the "link bars
based upon navigation structure" option to create the link bar. It never
seemed to work for link bars at the child level or lower. (I wondered
whether this was a bug in Frontpage 2002.) For my main website, I have used
the "link bar with custom links" option, which has worked fine, but it is not
working for this subweb.

I very much appreciate any help.

Nav bars and shard borders are unique to each web or subweb
- you have to create a new one in the subweb
