Link To File That No Longer Exists

T

tb

I am using Excel 2007 for Windows.

Every time that I open this one spreadsheet I get a warning window
stating that the workbook contains one or more links that cannot be
updated.

Clicking on the window's Edit Links button shows that there is a link
somewhere to a source file that no longer exists. (The file was
deleted months ago as it was no longer needed.)

The problem that I have is finding where in my workbook is the linkage
to this file. My workbook has many tabs. I know the name of the file
that no longer exists so I opened each tab and used the cursor to go
over each cell with formulas trying to find the linkage but so far no
luck.

How do I find where this link is located in the workbook?

I found a way to solve my problem.

Go to <http://www.oaltd.co.uk/MVP/Default.htm> and download
FindLink.zip.

Works for me!
