I searched the archives, but didn't find anything that addressed this.

Is there a way to change the Excel address in a linked object in
Powerpoint. For instance if I have an object linked to cell A1, I would
like to be able to copy that object and update the cell address in the
copy to cell A2. Is that possible?

Select the Excel content then choose Edit, Links.
