Hi

I am trying to connect a win2k pc to my win2000 workgroup. The network
config is very basic , no dns or dhcp. After connecting the network cable
the network enabled icon in the taskbar appears and says network connected
at 100mbps , after disconnecting the cable it appears again to say network
is disconnected..Yet the link indicator on the network card and hub are
off.I have tried to net view but only my PC is visible and 127.0.0.1 is fine
as well. All the config settings are correct basically all I really need to
do is change the workgroup name when I config a PC for the network.
Does anyone know why the software will show a link but the hardware does not

Thanks
