Link Bar shows numerous times when I preview it!

Why does my link bar show up to six or more times within my page when I
preview it? It also does this when I upload it to my site - and my
information on the page, anything outside the shared borders, disappears.

I am totally new to this - as you can probably tell.

A link to the published page will help.

Are you using shared borders? An in Code view, are there multiple
<body...> tags or </body> tags? There should be only one each of these,
any extras will cause the shared borders to duplicate.

Have you got all the updates? I think there was a bug and one of the updates
(ages ago) fixed this
